Q. How often does managed|Staffing pay its employees?
A. We pay our employees bi-weekly. This results in 26 pay periods in a year. If you are a 1099 employee, we pay 14 days from the date of the invoice.
Q. When can employees start participating in the 401(K) plan?
A. Employees are eligible to participate after 30 days of employment.
Q. Does managed|Staffing provide vacation to its employees?
A. This depends upon the client. Managed|Staffing offers 2 different packages; hourly and salary. Hourly employees do not receive vacation. Salaried employees accrue 3.08 days every pay period totaling 10 days a year.
Q. Does managed|Staffing provide sick/personal time?
A. If you are a salaried employee and are offered an extended benefits package, you will receive 24 hours of sick/personal time upon completion of 90 days of service. There is no sick time for hourly or hourly plus employees.
Q. Does managed|Staffing pay for client holidays?
A. Salaried employees receive paid holiday following the clients’ holiday schedule.
Q. What certifications does managed|Staffing have?
A. managed|Staffing is registered as a Minority owned business with NMSDC, (National Minority Supplier Development Council).
In addition, managed|Staffing has a HUB certificate (Historically Underutilized Business) and is registered with the State of Texas.
Q. Which types of immigration service does managed|Staffing provide?
A. managed|Staffing provides sponsorship for the following: F-1 Practical Training, E-3, H-1b, and TN Visa holders. We can also provide sponsorship of permanent residents, based on qualifications and requirements.
Q. How often can I change my W-4 elections?
A. You can change your W-4 elections as often as you like. Please remember that managed|Staffing cannot provide tax advice. Please consult with a tax professional. Please note that a new W-4 is required to be completed for any and all changes.
Q. Are travel expenses paid for by the client or managed|Staffing?
A. If the client approves travel or expenses for you, there is a submittal and approval process by the client. Once submitted and approved by the client, managed|Staffing will process the expense. There is usually a 2 to 3 week turnaround for reimbursement of travel expenses.
Q. Are expenses direct-deposited or mailed to me?
A. Expense checks are mailed out by regular mail.
Q. Does managed|Staffing match contributions to the 401(K) plan?
A. 401K matching is reviewed on an annual basis. At this time managed |Staffing does not match the 401K plan.
Q. Do I work for the client or for managed|Staffing?
A. Managed Staffing is your employer of record when you work at one of our client sites.
Q. How often and how do I report my time that I work?
A. Each client has a timesheet reporting system. Some clients may use a manual timesheet while others record their time on-line. Each employee is responsible for entering their time weekly at the client site as well as reporting it in managed|Staffing’s payroll and on-line timesheet system.
Q. When does managed|Staffing have open enrollment for medical and dental?
A. Open enrollment for medical and dental benefits starts in the month of July and takes effect August 1st of each year.
Q Does managed|Staffing offer a Cafeteria Section 125/pre-tax saver plan for medical reimbursements?
A. managed|Staffing offers a Cafeteria Section 125/pre-tax TaxSaver plan for dependent and medical care. TaxSaver is based on a calendar year and managed|Staffing has open enrollment for TaxSaver every December. TaxSaver starts at the beginning of each year.
Q. Do I lose my vacation accrual if I don’t use my vacation time?
A. Consultants are encouraged to use available vacation time for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. In the event that available vacation is not used by the end of the benefit year, Consultants may carry over no more than 50% of earned vacation days per year, the next benefit year. The remaining balance will be forfeited.
