How do I get a job assignment?

When a job request is received from a client, Managed Staffing recruiters match candidates to the requirements. If your skills match and you pass the selection process, an offer will be extended to you.

How long are assignments?

Assignments vary in length. Periodically, an assignment can lead to a full-time position. Our recruiters will provide you with assignment details such as directions and the approximate duration.

How often does Managed Staffing pay its employees?

We pay our employees biweekly. This results in 26 pay periods in a year. If you are a 1099 employee, we pay 14 days from the date of the invoice.

Do I work for the client or Managed Staffing?

Managed Staffing is your employer of record when you work at one of our client sites.

How does Managed Staffing pay its consultants?

We pay our consultants on a biweekly basis. For your convenience, we offer complimentary direct deposit, which ensures prompt payment and saves you valuable time.

How often and how do I report the time that I work?

Each client has a timesheet reporting system. Some clients may use a manual timesheet, while others record their time on-line. You are responsible for entering your time each week into the client site. In addition, you must report your time in Managed Staffing’s payroll and online timesheet system.

What benefits am I eligible for?

Managed Staffing offers our consultants competitive pay as well as a customizable group-rate medical package. You also have the opportunity to earn paid holidays, paid vacations and referral bonuses. You may be required to work a specified number of hours and/or weeks before you are eligible for some benefits. Please note: benefits may vary by location and client. Please speak with your Managed Staffing representative to confirm your eligibility for our benefits program.

When can employees start participating in the 401(k) plan?

Employees are eligible to participate after 30 days of employment.

Does Managed Staffing provide vacation to its employees?

This depends upon the client. Managed Staffing offers two different packages; hourly and salary. Hourly employees do not receive vacation. Salaried employees accrue 3.08 days every pay period totaling ten days a year.

When does Managed Staffing have open enrollment for medical and dental?

Open enrollment for medical and dental benefits starts in the month of July and takes effect August 1st of each year.

Does Managed Staffing provide sick/personal time?

If you are a salaried employee and are offered an extended benefits package, you will receive 24 hours of sick/personal time upon completion of 90 days of service. There is no sick time for hourly or hourly plus employees.

Does Managed Staffing pay for client holidays?

Salaried employees receive paid holidays following the clients’ holiday schedule.

What certifications does Managed Staffing have?

Managed Staffing is registered as a minority-owned business with NMSDC, (National Minority Supplier Development Council) and WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council). In addition, Managed Staffing has a HUB certificate (Historically Underutilized Business) and is registered with the State of Texas.

Which types of immigration services does Managed Staffing provide?

Managed Staffing provides sponsorship for the following:  F-1 Practical Training, E-3, H-1b, and TN Visa holders. We can also provide sponsorship of permanent residents, based on qualifications and requirements.

How often can I change my W-4 elections?

You can change your W-4 elections as often as you’d like. Please remember that Managed Staffing cannot provide tax advice.  Please consult with a tax professional.  Please note that a new W-4 is required to be completed for any and all changes.

Are travel expenses paid for by the client or Managed Staffing?

If the client approves travel or expenses for you, there is a submittal and approval process by the client.  Once submitted and approved by the client, Managed Staffing will process the expense.  There is usually a 2 to 3 week turnaround for reimbursement of travel expenses.

Are expenses direct deposited or mailed to me?

Expense checks are mailed out by regular mail.

Does Managed Staffing match contributions to the 401(k) plan?

401(k) matching is reviewed on an annual basis.  At this time, Managed Staffing does not match the 401(k) plan.

Does Managed Staffing offer a Cafeteria Section 125/pre-tax TaxSaver plan for medical reimbursements?

Managed Staffing offers a Cafeteria Section 125/pre-tax TaxSaver plan for dependent and medical care.  TaxSaver is based on a calendar year and Managed Staffing has open enrollment for TaxSaver every December.  TaxSaver starts at the beginning of each year.

Do I lose my vacation accrual if I don’t use my vacation time?

Consultants are encouraged to use available vacation time for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits.  In the event that available vacation is not used by the end of the benefit year, consultants may carry over no more than 50% of earned vacation days per year, the next benefit year. The remaining balance will be forfeited.
